Keep open bags of rice and pasta from spilling into the cabinets by using clips to seal the open bags. Then keep the sealed bags together in airtight containers with easy open flip lids. Label containers "Pasta & Grains".

Each item was assigned a home inside the cabinets to clear the counters. Note the removal of the refrigerator magnets, which just added to a "cluttered" look in this small kitchen.

This is what happens when you move in and have the movers unpack for you. They dump your things everywhere. How are you suppose to use the sink?

After we completed putting everything away.

In this kitchen, the children's dishes were tossed into this small cabinet.

I installed bins into one of the larger cabinets and separated by type. Labeling gives children, nannies and parents the chance to put things away in the right place. The added bonus is that the children are learning to both get their own dishware and to put away their dishes from the dish washer.

This pantry was stuffed full of groceries and extremely hard to see what was what.

After

I sorted through all the items in the pantry and discarded what was old and no longer used. I then found the right containers, turntables and organizing tools to give this homeowner an opportunity to know what was in her pantry. Containers are labeled so the children can find their own snacks on the bottom shelf.
